Diana Elizabeth Torres is a Mexican actress originally from Culiacán, Sinaloa. She graduated from Casazul Performing Arts Mexico. Diana starred as the lead in the award-winning film East Side Sushi, directed by Anthony Lucero, which won multiple awards including Best Film, Audience Award at Napa Valley Film Festival, Cinequest, SanFrancisco, Hola Mexico, and received excellent reviews from Hollywood Reporter, Los Angeles Times, Variety, and others. East Side Sushi earned her the Diosa de Plata (one of Mexico's top film awards) for her performance as Juana and was distributed worldwide on online platforms such as HBO, Sony, Netflix, Amazon, and iTunes. In Mexico, she participated in films and shows such as Kada Kien Karma (Warner), Archivo Muerto (Televisa), and Bienes Raíces TV Series by Canal Once. In the United States, she has participated in feature films such as Private Number with Tom Sizemore, Cleaner by Masami Kawaii, and most recently, The Memory in my Heart by Marc Martinez, A Little Family Drama by Nadia Zoe, and The Paper Bag Plan reuniting with Anthony Lucero again. Diana has also appeared in several TV spots, including Verizon, Honda, Always, CNN Latino, Dish Latino, Payless, 5 Hour Energy, and a national campaign for Got Milk? with Salma Hayek. Her most recent project was in Body Parts, a documentary that explores the nude female body as the site of a cultural battle in cinema and Hollywood media, directed by Kristy Guevara-Flannagan, featuring appearances by Jane Fonda, Rose McGowan, Sheryl Lee, among others. Diana is passionate about social causes that include women, education, indigenous communities, and volunteering. She has previously volunteered with UNFPA (United Nations) and in 2018 was named an Art and Culture Ambassador by the government in Culiacán, Sinaloa.
