Jess Bush

Jess is an Australian actor now based between New York City and Toronto. She currently plays the role of Nurse Christine Chapel aboard the USS Enterprise on the newest, hit Star Trek series, Strange New Worlds, now entering its 3rd season after an overwhelming fan response. In 2022 she was nominated for best supporting actress at the Saturn Awards for her portrayal of the iconic role, known as “The First Lady of Star Trek” reprised from the original series. Jess rose to fame at age 19 as a contestant on Australia’s Next Top Model, later appearing on Australian television shows Home and Away, the Secret Daughter, Playing for Keeps and Halifax Retribution as well as a leading role on the independent feature film Skinford 2. Jess has a parallel career in visual arts, making and exhibiting art under the moniker Onejessa since age 18. Jess has also performed as a voice actor in a commercial capacity, most notably in a multi faceted partnership with major Australian telecommunications company Telstra, in a campaign that ran several years.
