John Emmet Tracy

John Emmet Tracy has appeared in nearly one hundred films and television shows, over one hundred theatre productions and many commercial and voiceover productions, including portraying Thomas Jefferson, both in Assassin's Creed III and in The Tyranny of King Washington, two instalments of the award winning and critically acclaimed video game series. His stage and screen work have been recognized with multiple nominations and awards. 
 On television, he is best known as Ellis Steele on three seasons of the worldwide hit show Yellowstone, as well as for heavily recurring roles on Batwoman (one season) and iZombie (two seasons). Additional television work includes guest starring roles in Altered Carbon, The Killing and Supernatural, among many others. His film work includes Fifty Shades Freed, If I Stay, American Mary and Steven Spielberg’s The BFG among others. Selected stage work includes touring Japan as the title role in Hamlet and performing at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London as a member of the Globe’s International Actors’ Fellowship. He is the creator of The 24 Hour Shakespeare Project and has directed over 40 stage productions. He received his training at Rose Bruford College (Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre), the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, the National Shakespeare Conservatory in New York and from master teachers Uta Hagen, Lynn Redgrave and Madeleine Sherwood.
