Leith was born to Jamaican immigrant parents in New York City. His mother's job with the airlines gave him a lifelong love of travel; his father's job with United Artists gave him a love of film and theater. After graduating from St. Josephs HS in Metuchen N.J. ( doing a few plays, spending a year on exchange in Sweden) he went to Kent State University in Ohio to study Aerospace Flight. A few Ohio winters convinced him to transfer to sunny California where he reignited his love of theater and never looked back. He moved to San Francisco where he completed an MFA in theater from the American Conservatory Theater and worked professionally in the Bay Area for almost a decade. From the Bay to LA...LA to New York...Broadway, Off Broadway, Regional Theater: the Guthrie, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, San Jose Rep...Some TV here, a commercial there, the occasional Indy or even studio film...marriage then back to LA where he currently resides with his family working steadily in all mediums. Credits include: Amazon's Bosch, Grey's Anatomy, Parenthood, Life in Pieces, NCIS, Law and Order, Suburbicon directed by George Clooney among others. Leith is an adjunct professor in theater at LACC and still speaks fluent Swedish from his year as an exchange student in HS.
