Lorena Jorge is an alum of the William Esper Studios, trained under the late Bill Esper. She has graced many New York City stages and screens for over two decades. She is Disney’s First AfroLatina Super hero in the series Ultra Violet and Black Scorpion starring as Catalina/Cascada. She also will voice three recurring characters in Oscar winner, Matthew Cherry’s new animated series,Young Love, on HBOMax expected to premiere in Early 2023. Based on his 2020 Oscar winning animated short, Hair Love. She is guest starring in OWN’s series “All Rise” coming up February 2023 as well as her personal podcast with fellow actor and dear friend Maya Lynne Robinson named “But what if you Fly?” You have also seen her in CW’s Jane The Virgin, TNT’s The Last Ship, CBS’s NCIS, The Spanish Repertory Theater’s “La Gringa,” and off Broadway Productions like David Lamb’s "Platanos & Collard Greens," to name a few. She is a prominent Voiceover Artist and Host recognized by her neutral accent in both Spanish and English Commercials, Animation, Radio promos, Computer Games, and children’s Audiobooks such as penguin random house “Todo el Mundo Cabe Aqui” and “Callaloo”. Lorena has written and produced a couple award winning short films like “Black is the New Brown” and “Pinky’s Dream” under her production company Hidden Root Productions. She is currently nominated as best Actress in the Official Latino Film Festival being held in Palm Springs this December for sci-fi short film/proof of concept “KEEP/DELETE” by Kryzz Gautier one of the talented writers of “The Gordita Chronicles” on HBOMax. Lorena Jorge is as active in front of the camera just as much as behind the lens as an Assistant Director, she had AD’d from Music videos like Puerto Rican Reggaeton artist Zerimar’s “Otra Vida” Facebook’s 8 commercial spots collaboration with Fitness App, SWEAT, and features like PSYCHE and Paradies from the production house IMN Creative and For Us By Us. She is a Native New Yorker and holds her BA from Fordham University in Criminology and Sociology. She is a painter and mixed media artist looking forward to have her first Art exhibit coming up in the new year and is officially a Restaurant Owner of Morena’s Kitchen in the state of New York with her brother Chef Lorenzo. Overall, Lorena Jorge is an interdisciplinary Afro-Latina Artist and Entrepreneur within the Entertainment Industry and a proud first generation American, who from an early age has lived by the mantra, “With Hard Work Anything is Possible.”
