Troian Bellisario began acting as a child and earned her B.F.A. from the USC School of Theatre. After graduating, she appeared in Equivocation at the Geffen Playhouse and The Last Match at The Old Globe. With her theatre company, The Casitas Group, Troian performed in an exclusive engagement of Martin McDonagh's The Pillowman, as well as a Sam Shepard double feature: Fool for Love and True West. While she is best known for her leading role on the acclaimed FREEFORM series Pretty Little Liars, Troian expanded her creative pursuits during the show's seven-year run, exploring writing, producing, and directing. She began by writing and producing the short films Exiles and We Are Here, then wrote, produced, and starred in her first feature film, Feed, released by Sony Pictures. After completing the Warner Bros. Directors’ Program, she directed eight episodes of television, including Pretty Little Liars, Famous in Love, and Good Trouble. She also wrote, directed, and co-produced the short film Life on Mars. Troian created, acted and directed the immersive podcast Ad Lucem for QCODE, featuring the voices of Chris Pine, Olivia Wilde, and Fiona Shaw. The show reached #1 on the Apple Podcast Fiction chart and is available everywhere podcasts are streamed. Most recently, Troian featured in Amazon's On Call, a half-hour drama set in Long Beach about a field training officer (Bellisario) and her new recruit. The series achieved global popularity and marked Dick Wolf’s first foray into streaming.
